OUR MISSION is to

Improve Our Relationship To Work

Our relationship to work is one of 3 interconnected relationships. When our relationship to work is healthy and functional, we can take care of ourselves. and we can energize ourselves in the company of our friends, partners, and family.

Our relationship to work is one of 3 interconnected relationships.

By improving the quality of our work, we can improve the quality of our lives.

The Caveday Manifesto

Work no longer works for us.
Always on, never-enough.
Slacks and pings and nervous system-jacking things.
Nudging us to work more, share more, “be” more.

This is not the progress we were promised by technology.
We refuse to sacrifice our humanity
to the Cult of Hustle and Gods of Growth.
Life is too short
to feel so frenzied.
We remember something else. A calmer place.
The Cave.

Our ancestors went there to shut out the world and look inward.
It’s a place of presence, exploration, and transformation.
It’s the place where you can hear your own thoughts
and explore your genius…
without distraction.

You can find it on your own, sure.
But it’s better with friends.
Because when we carry the weight of our work together, it feels lighter.

In The Cave, we surprise ourselves.
We start habits (and keep them).
We cross the finish line.
We pivot.
And ship.
We stack one committed hour on top of another.
And before we burn out, we stop.
And breathe.   Ahhhhh…

We decide for ourselves what “enough” means.
Because even though our work can light us up
we know that work is not life.
And we’re committed to having lives that work for us
(even in this cuckoo bananas world).

There have always been distractions competing for our attention.
There will always be complex problems bigger than us.
If we hope to build something better
for ourselves and the generations to come,
you can bet it’s going to be built
by people who know how to find The Cave.
